I a lot of custom branding for wedding-based businesses who feels it’s pointless because the window to book someone for an event is finite, whereas someone like me can work with businesses at any stage. So…should you have one?
YES!! And here’s why…
- If you’re in the wedding business brides begin planning and searching for their wedding BEFORE THEY EVEN GET ENGAGED. I mean, hello, I did. This gives you more time than you may think you have to nurture them into working with you.
- Brides have friends! Who knows which of their bridesmaids will get engaged and want to hire you. If you keep your name in your bride’s brain, she will certainly push her friend to you.
- Brides may become moms and want family portraits down the road so if you do lifestyle photography, for example, having a list of former brides is clutch!
- Having a finite window to get someone to book with you may be to your advantage! You KNOW these people on your list are ready to sign up. They just need to make a decision. I would have a scheduler in your newsletter to invite them to a free consultation.
I ALWAYS encourage clients to have them! I have started including the initial setup of opt-ins and leadpages into my services because I know ‘freebies’ are KEY to growing your list!
