Hello! If you are reading this then you are on my new Showit5 site and I am so glad you stopped by. This refresh was an effort of love and I am happy with how it all turned out.
Seeing all of my vendor friends choose a word for the new year to focus on has inspired me to do the same. The word I chose for myself both personally and professionally is thrive.
THRIVE: grow or develop well or vigorously
I got inspiration for the word from a Christian moms group I follow called “Thrive Moms.” I have yet to attend a meeting, but it doesn’t mean I love the group and what it stands for any less. In my own words the group believes in thriving through motherhood versus surviving. Too often we (and by we I mean “me”) try to survive and we miss an opportunity to thrive as a mom, to love our children more, and to make the most of what really matters. I want to apply that concept not only to myself as a mother, but also to my business. I don’t want to survive through a busy season, I want to thrive in it. I want to be excited about the opportunity to get to do what I love every single day all the while cherishing time with my little ones and husband. It’s so important for me to be reminded that I used to work a 9-5 job doing something I wasn’t very happy with. It’s easy to forget that and take for granted our current situation.
So cheers to thriving this year! Make it count!
As a wedding and portrait photographer, this blog is exactly what I have been looking for, great resource. Thank you so much!
