I had a BLAST working with Lizzie of Elizabeth Moore Photography. She is seriously talented in both photography and business and she has become a dear friend of mine. She is one of my biggest cheerleaders and I am so grateful I got to know her! I followed up with Lizzie to see how her full branding experience was with me and here is what she said:
How would you describe your old brand and how would you describe your new brand?
I would describe my old brand as a logo, and color pallet not a brand. I never really understood what it meant to have a brand until this past year. I alway interpreted a brand as a pretty logo. I quickly realized that a brand is so much more than a logo, its a perception on who I am, what my business is, it differentiates me from all of the other photographers in my area, and it attracts the type of clients that I want. My new brand is so lovely, romantic, light, and elegant. It truly defines who I am as a person and a photographer, and what my business is all about.
Do you feel the initial mood board and brand coaching session are representative of your visual brand?
Absolutely, the coaching session I had with Katie was exactly what I needed. I needed someone to help me nail down what I wanted in an ideal client and not beat around the bush. It was also nice to meet my designer face- to-face, after all this is the person I will be email 20 & 30 times a day for the duration of my re-brand! I absolutely feel like the mood board was a representative of my new brand. After I received it from Katie I’m pretty sure I stared at it until I received the next pretty email she sent 🙂
Do you feel like your new brand will attract your ideal client more? How?
It already has! I’ve already booked 3 new wedding clients with my new brand and new pricing! It’s been a whirlwind to wrap my head around 3 new clients after a re-brand, but it comes to show hard work really pays off!
Are you glad you decided to do a whole rebrand versus just having a logo or website done?
YES! In the past I’ve re-done my website and logo design and it got me no where. Re-branding my business is exactly what I needed because I wasn’t attracting the clients I wanted, but now I am!
What would you say to anyone on the fence about signing up for full branding with Ribbon & Ink?
DO IT! If I had any regrets with my business it would be that I didn’t re-brand soon enough. Branding is one of the most important aspects of your whole business. YES it’s a huge financial commitment and investment, but it’s 110% worth every penny I invested. Oh and getting emails from Katie everyday is pretty equivalent to a kid on Christmas morning! Watching your vision come to life is the best part of it all 🙂
