I absolutely love this purple floral brand I created for New York wedding planner & florist Whimsy Weddings. Owner Tatiana came to me not wanting a full rebrand, rather, just the branding basics and I decided to take it on. Typically I exclusively do full branding for creatives, but sometimes I’ll take on smaller branding projects.

Tatiana wanted a crest in her logo with lots of florals. She knew she wanted a purple and green color scheme as well. She had seen my Everly Winslow premade brand design and wanted something very similar.

I met with Tatiana and her husband via Skype for their brand coaching session to discuss their ideal client and niche. After reading through their questionnaire I came up with this ideal client mockup and color palette:

We had some tweaking to the colors, but the client and description were spot on they said. From there I created their mood board as the overall vision for their new upscale brand:

We did even some more tweaking with colors which is totally fine and happens along the way. Once the colors were established I had a set of custom watercolor flowers made by By Brittany Branson as well as a calligraphy layout of the word “Whimsy” by Script + Vine. I make sure all of the content in my clients’ logos is 100% authentic and unique to them. No stock watercolor here! Here were the initial logo concepts sent over:

And last, but not least, is their gorgeous brand board complete with full logo, alternate logos, monogram logos, color palette, fonts, and patterns including a custom watercolor pattern:
